Wine and Cheese Tour
Introduced in the Cape, cheeses & wines were developed by a handful of Huguenots (French Protestants), Dutch East India Company (VOC) service men and German soldiers and adventurers. The nutritional and medicinal value of both highly valued products proved essential in keeping the far-flung refreshing station of the Cape of Good Hope in the 17th and 18th century.
